Supporting ‘Children In Need’
Pimlico HQ had another ‘wear your own’ day to support Children in Need, which was set on the same day as the special fundraising evening hosted by Pudsey and celebrity entertainers. A donation of £5 was collected on the day by Pimlico employees as they left their uniforms behind to help raise money for this incredible charity.
Children in Need broadcasted live from the BBC’s Elstree studios with a special night full of fun for all ages hosted by Tess Daly, Ade Adepitan, Graham Norton, Mel Giedroyc and Marvin and Rochelle Humes. Plus, comedian Tom Allen also took on hosting duties as he joined the BBC Children in Need presenting line-up for the first time.
Children in Need provided grants to projects in the UK which focused on disadvantaged children and young people. They supported people in all corners of the UK, including small and large organisations that empower children and extend their life choices.
They currently support over 3,000 local charities and projects in communities across the UK. The projects fund help for children facing a range of disadvantages for example poverty and deprivation; children who have been the victims of abuse or neglect or disabled young people.
